The Team
Manifesto:
The Lemon Life was born in December 2008. We had an idea, then we had a meeting. We formed an editorial board, and over the course of several Sunday morning meetings we built a brand. Our original idea was to create a website for the un or underemployed but as we continued to grow and more people got involved, it became clear that our message was more universal than we had originally anticipated. Soon enough, even the gainfully employed were self proclaimed Lemon Lifers and we were 600 strong on Facebook with only an idea and a logo.
The Lemon Life doesn’t preach about, pander to, or pontificate on generational stereotypes. We are a collection of individuals who want to take back control of a voice. The voice of a community of people who are still trying to figure it all out. We are tired of being defined by everyone but ourselves. We don’t have all the answers but we’re ok with that. What we do have to offer are our own experiences; the good, the bad, and yes, the ugly. It certainly helps that we have incredible contributors who bring these experiences to life with engaging, insightful and beautiful work. We may have come up with the idea, but we would be nothing without our contributors.
