    About joining the military, Brian Cox says openly that he always knew he wanted to be in the some branch of armed service. Originally, he says, he wanted to fly fighter jets. However, a heart murmur would prevent him from becoming a naval aviator.

    He came to this conclusion:

    “Well, if I can’t fly airplanes, then I’ll jump out of them,” he says.

    If you ask Rosa Koenig why she joined Air Force ROTC, her answer is simple: “I love the military life; I love the discipline and feel more at home in this atmosphere…I basically grew up in the military.”
